Huey joined the rescue in 2005

Huey caught his left hind foot in a smooth wire fence and cut it nearly off. The wound healed completely, however it left him lame behind. This, in conjunction with the wry foot he always had, has left him unsound for more than walking under saddle.

I bought Huey in 2002 after I rescued Soldier. He was a green broke 6 at the time, and is registered Paint, his registered name being Mighty Tippy Too. He is a wonderful horse and actually talked me into buying him, as I was going to pass!

He immediately became the leader of the herd of two, and has remained leader all this time. He, Bettina, and Lucy are a trio - I think of them as being immediate family to each other. Huey, Soldier, and Bettina raised Lucy from a baby - and did a great job.
